Session
The final session of the symposium was held in the city where the first council of Nika took place 1700 years ago. Discussions involved the organization of the event and coordinating with local religious figures, including His Eminence Metropolitan Iwaim of Prussa. The session also included presentations from Reverend Dr. Demetrius Patlos and Reverend Dr. John Bear. Dr. Patlos presented on 'Consiliarity and Primacy in the Light of the Council of Nika,' analyzing documents from the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue, particularly the Ravenna Document. Key points of discussion included the interdependence of primacy and consiliarity, perceived weaknesses in applying these concepts at the local (diocese) level, and critiques of the documents' use of trinitarian theology versus eucharistic ecclesiology.
