Florence County Council Regular Meeting
The Council held public hearings for road maintenance cessation resolutions and personnel policy manual updates. Appearances included a feasibility study proposal for a state park in the Johnsonville area. Recognitions were awarded to the Hannah Pamplico High School Softball Team as state champions. Key actions included the approval of several resolutions regarding road closures and closures, a lease agreement renewal for the Olanta Athletic Complex, and the designation of CPST III excess projects. Various ordinances were passed on third reading, including fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreements, development park amendments, and numerous zoning designation changes. Several ordinances were also approved on second reading, and multiple new ordinances were introduced. Finally, the Council approved several reappointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, Policy Commission on Recreation, Planning Commission, and the City-County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
