Northwestern School District Committee Of The Whole Study Session
The Committee of the Whole Study Session included discussions on various educational services, such as graduate assistantships for special education, cooperative agreements for the Open Campus Initiative, and overnight trip requests for FFA activities. Building and grounds items involved an updated MOU with the PA State Police, equipment disposal, and potential recommendations for an outdoor events area. Financial topics covered the lease for an early intervention classroom, proposed tax millage rates, the general fund and cafeteria budgets, depository designations, student activity fees, mentor stipends, and property tax exemptions. Policy discussions included second readings for charter schools, transportation, student and employee dress codes, working periods, and district audit policies, as well as a first reading regarding threat assessment protocols. Additionally, the committee reviewed annual personnel appointments and salary approvals.
