The board meeting included the introduction of new members and staff, discussions on the county budget shortfall and advocacy efforts, and an overview of healthcare outcomes related to private equity ownership. Updates were provided by various committees regarding access to care, behavioral health initiatives, community support, and well rules. The Board reviewed the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year, including fee changes, and discussed a draft resolution regarding newborn screenings for neurodegenerative and muscular disorders. Additionally, the Board approved revisions to the Inactive Accounts policy, recommended reappointments for current board members, and reviewed media items and the Health Director's report concerning public health topics such as measles and Medicaid funding.

The board discussed member recruitment and retention strategies for the commission. Planning for the upcoming Earth Day event and the presentation of the Ripple Awards was addressed, with members volunteering to assist. The board reviewed progress on the State of the Environment report, including a tree canopy study, and established a process for sub-committees to provide feedback on drafts. A motion was passed to follow the 2014 format for the final report. The Director reported on a facilitated discussion regarding disc golf course development at Blackwood Farm Park, addressed public opposition to the project, and shared information regarding the upcoming Earth Day celebration.
