The School Site Council reviewed the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) mid-year report, which included survey results on academic rigor, student safety, bullying, and support programs. The Council approved the Draft Comprehensive School Safety Plan. Additionally, the group discussed the implementation plan for the board-approved comprehensive sexual health education curriculum for grades 5-8. The Superintendent provided updates regarding the 2026/27 school calendar, the cancellation of a solar project, and the acquisition of an electric bus grant.

The agenda focuses on the presentation of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the California Dashboard Local Indicators draft. It also includes the Superintendent/Principal report, considerations for the upcoming academic year, and a period for council input and discussion.

The board discussed several action items including matters related to the San Pasqual Academy and the termination of a solar power purchase and lease agreement. Participation in the California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) Cohort 6 was considered for authorization. The board discussed several items including the disclosure and ratification of a tentative agreement with the elementary teachers' association regarding compensation and benefits. Key actions included the adoption of a resolution to reduce or eliminate specific services for the upcoming school year, the review of a science outreach program agreement, and the approval of various service contracts for software, facility paving, painting, and tree maintenance. Additionally, the board reviewed a draft of the Local Control and Accountability Plan and held a first reading for several board policy updates. Personnel and financial reports were also presented for board consideration.

The board discussed closed session items regarding labor negotiations and personnel. Highlights included employee recognition for the Teacher and Employee of the Year, alongside various reports from school staff and the Superintendent regarding state funding, labor negotiations, and specific campus projects. Action items involved the presentation and approval of the second interim budget report, the approval of a proposal for an air conditioning system installation, the approval of the 2026 Transportation Plan, and a first reading of proposed Board Policy updates. The board also addressed consent agenda items such as personnel appointments, library purchases, and student teaching agreements, in addition to reviewing financial reports.
