This Library Plan, developed for the Valders Area School District (VASD), aligns with the Future Ready Librarian Framework and the District's Mission and Vision. The plan outlines three primary goals: ensuring students learn digital citizenship, safety, and privacy; effectively utilizing library funds for print and digital resources; and fostering learner-centered literacy through inclusive collections that reflect the community's diverse needs. The vision is to provide a diverse collection of resources supporting the academic, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the community.

The Valders Elementary School Early Literacy Remediation Plan aims to provide engaging, effective, equitable, and diverse literacy instruction to foster confident readers, writers, thinkers, and communicators. The plan's key components include a comprehensive early literacy assessment system, the development of Personal Reading Plans for students requiring additional support, and a tiered intervention structure (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3) designed to address specific reading skills. It also emphasizes ongoing teacher professional development and strong family and community engagement to ensure literacy success for every learner.

The Valders Area School Board meeting agenda includes consideration of the FCCLA State Competition, approval of various policy readings, acceptance of donations, and action regarding staff resignations and employment.
