The Commission addressed a request from Clayton Properties for a zoning map amendment at 102 N Austin Street, proposing to change the designation from F3H to F4H to facilitate the conversion of a residential property into a multi-tenant professional office space. This request involves an adaptive reuse project intended to align with the historic downtown character while supporting commercial vitality.

The City Council meeting included several proclamations recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month, Historic Preservation Month, Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, and Texas Flood Awareness Week. Key presentations covered the Hays County Homeless Coalition's Point-in-Time count results. The commission reviewed the library's FY2026 Strategic Plan goals and objectives, specifically assessing the progress, completion status, or ongoing nature of various initiatives. Additionally, the Library Director provided an update on upcoming community events and the library's programming calendars.
