Institutional Biosafety Committee Meeting Minutes

The meeting focused on the review and approval of protocols. Minutes from a previous meeting on 11/4/25 were approved. A special Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) meeting was held on 11-11-25 to achieve quorum and vote on three protocols reviewed at the earlier meeting. The main meeting addressed several new and de novo protocols (IBC-00000181, IBC-00000126, IBC-00000139), which were voted to be approved pending minor clarifications from the Principal Investigator (PI) regarding containment levels, personnel involvement, and carcass disposal procedures. One protocol (IBC-00000124, IBC-00000129, IBC-00000130) was approved during the special session. Another protocol (IBC-00000135) was deferred due to a lack of quorum for a vote, as a member had to recuse themselves. One protocol (IBC-00000145) was sent back for minor clarification. The committee also reviewed a list of previously approved protocols.
