Discussions centered on soil analysis, which indicated that the site could not support a standard Type 1 septic system, and a review of wetland delineations. Board members shared observations from a site visit, confirming the location's suitability for a dwelling despite the soil limitations. The board conducted a formal review of findings of fact regarding the project's compliance with county land use ordinances, concluding that the request was reasonable and necessary. A motion to approve the variance was carried.
