Rural Municipality of St. Andrews Council Special Meeting
The council held a public hearing regarding the proposed Zoning By-law No. 4438, which is intended to replace the existing 2002 bylaw with updated land use regulations. The discussion focused on the necessity of this modernization to align with current provincial legislation and regional development plans. Due to an administrative error in the provincial circulation process, a recommendation was made to adjourn the public hearing until September 22nd to ensure proper review. During the public comment period, concerns were raised regarding property rezoning and the municipality's capacity to address the growing demand for senior housing, specifically 55+ life lease options.
