The board also adopted the agenda and held recognitions, including a performance by the Dysart Middle School band. During public comment, one parent expressed grave concerns regarding child safety and alleged misconduct by staff at Valley Vista High School. Another citizen addressed the board regarding open meetings laws, alleging attempts to circumvent regulations via intermediaries. Finally, a member of the public requested the board reconsider its previous vote opposing the Whitman BNSF rail hub, citing potential environmental and security risks. The student update featured presentations from student leadership representatives detailing charitable efforts, spirit weeks, and upcoming events across various high schools in the district.

The committee also reviewed the district's election history, bonds, and overrides.
