Pacific Lutheran University Long-Range Plan 1995-2000
This long-range plan for Pacific Lutheran University aims to guide the institution into the 21st century by shaping its future through a strategic planning effort. The plan is built upon five core axioms: strengthening the learning community by integrating liberal and professional education and fostering collaborative learning; reaffirming the tradition of Lutheran higher education; educating students for lives of service; activating a commitment to diversity among students and employees, and in the curriculum; and effectively supporting the university's enterprise through strategic recruitment, financial stability, and technological advancement. The overall vision is to empower students for lives of thoughtful inquiry, leadership, service, and care for others, their communities, and the earth.
