The council discussed expanding the social district, wayfinding signs, mini grants, lodging tax letters, and the utility committee meeting. The Mayor discussed a community meeting about the government shutdown's effect on the SNAP program and thanked departments for the Missouri Day Festival. Additionally, they approved the sale of an old truck and went into a closed session for legal and personnel matters.

The appointment of a new City Clerk was approved, and discussions were held on advertising for the City Administrator position.

The meeting included a public comment session where Luke Vale from Downtown Trenton discussed the need for sidewalk repairs and promoted the Beer & Wine Walk. Bill No. 44, concerning a conditional use permit for a women's halfway house/sober living home, and Bill No. 45, regarding a quit claim deed for real property to North Central Missouri College, were discussed and passed. The council also went into a closed session for personnel matters.
