The 2023-2026 Equity and Inclusion Plan for Minnesota West Community & Technical College aims to create a more equitable and inclusive environment. The plan, developed through a comprehensive needs assessment, focuses on eight key goals: integrating inclusive perspectives into curricula, creating a culturally inclusive event planning process, ensuring diverse representation on search committees, implementing a conflict resolution protocol, developing inclusive marketing and communication materials, establishing a process for diverse representation in projects, integrating DEI into student orientation and advising, and directing budgetary considerations towards DEI initiatives. Seven areas for improvement are also addressed: committee and task force formation, campus culture, job descriptions, progress measurement, policies and procedures, professional development, and programs and services. Six domains are monitored: mission, vision, and values; history; leadership; climate; physical environment; and supervision. The plan's implementation involves strategies, performance indicators, and expected outcomes across all areas, with a timeline for achieving these goals.
