The Personnel Board reviewed and discussed several job descriptions, ultimately approving the descriptions for the Director of the Bacon Free Library, the Director of Public Health, the Assistant Director of Public Health, and the Veterans Service Officer. The Board also reviewed and approved the pay plans for part-time and full-time positions. Additionally, the Town Administrator provided an update on departmental improvements, ongoing recruitment challenges for specific vacancies, and proposed revisions to personnel bylaws governing non-union employees.

The committee conducted an interview with Echo360 regarding their PointSolutions software and hardware for managing hybrid town meetings, discussing topics including license models, device compatibility, security features, support options, and technical requirements. The committee also discussed the integration of survey findings into their upcoming committee report and clarified that while they will not issue an RFP, their findings will inform future procurement efforts. Plans for a meeting report outline were established, and a future meeting date was scheduled.

The committee discussed the status of the fiscal year 2024 audit and the preparation for the fiscal year 2025 audit. A motion was passed to recommend extending the contract with CBIZ for the fiscal year 2025 audit while simultaneously continuing to research alternative audit service providers.

The board discussed organizational matters including the use of Robert Rules of Order, upcoming board training, and the status of subcommittee and workgroup reports. Staff provided updates on the management transition of community gardens, repair needs for garden plots, and several ongoing infrastructure projects such as turf field replacement, fence repairs at the pickleball court, new shade structures, and batting cage installation. Additionally, the commission reviewed donation reports, updates on the PATH for Adaptive Opportunities fundraiser, and changes to the Community Preservation Act application process.
