Lake Region State College Action Plan 2026-2027
The Action Plan 2026-2027 for Lake Region State College is structured around three core focus areas: Educate, Enhance, and Advance. Key objectives include increasing student enrollment by aligning academic offerings with student and workforce needs, improving advising, and developing new academic programs such as apprenticeships and stackable certificates. The plan also aims to enrich the student experience through enhanced housing, campus life initiatives, and stronger community relationships. Furthermore, it focuses on strengthening collaboration with the Community College Foundation, securing resources for long-term priorities including funding for the Athletic Performance Center, and investing in faculty and staff development to foster a supportive culture. The plan also seeks to leverage athletics to enrich the overall LRSC experience.

The strategic plan focuses on managing costs to preserve affordability by implementing cost-saving strategies and promoting effective internal controls and risk management practices. It prioritizes facility needs by updating deferred maintenance analysis and incorporating short and long-term needs into the master plan. The plan also aims to increase funding for scholarships and program support to enhance student affordability and augment program quality. Additionally, it seeks to limit tuition, room and board, and fee increases, enhance recruiting efforts for non-traditional students, maintain high rates of persistence and retention, and maximize the strength of the unified system by enhancing promotion and marketing of IT apprenticeships.
