The committee discussed calendaring a school safety plan meeting for November and the next meeting in March to review the current plan, outcomes, and approve a new plan. The SLT program was reviewed, along with SLT election procedures and rules. There were questions regarding how the school supports reading intervention, including the instructional coach, Title I pull-out program, and buddy reading. The involvement of the SLT committee with school safety procedures and training was also discussed, with plans to schedule a meeting in November to review the school safety plan and its presentation to parents. The 2025-2026 school land trust plan was also part of the discussion, focusing on improving foundational literacy skills in grades K-3.
