Belle Plaine Public Schools Planning For A Sustainable Future
This document outlines Belle Plaine Public Schools' long-term plan for facility consolidation and redesign aimed at achieving a sustainable future. The plan focuses on enhancing student safety and security, optimizing operational efficiencies by reducing the number of school buildings from four to two (saving approximately $400,000 annually), and expanding educational experiences through updated learning spaces, Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and fine arts areas. It proposes transforming the current Middle & High School into a PreK-5th Grade Elementary School and renovating/expanding Oak Crest Elementary to serve as the new 6th-12th Grade Middle & High School.
