The Logan County Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for the social, physical, and economic development of Logan County and its communities, with a long-range goal of fostering a healthful and aesthetically pleasing environment that meets the needs of all residents. The plan addresses community and environmental preservation, growth and development, transportation and public services, and interagency cooperation. It outlines land use designations for conservation, recreation, municipal growth, and agricultural areas, and supports improvements in transportation infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

The Logan County ETSB meeting included discussions on the EMB grant reimbursement, troubleshooting issues with the Atlanta tower, scheduling Simulcast maintenance, and identifying phone issues when calling administrative lines to DeWitt County and Mason County. There were discussions regarding Sheriff Starcom to Digital, paging issues in Atlanta, and the Menard County backup PSAP. The board was informed about the upcoming need to replace the console furniture and the Simulcast POE Switch upgrade. The language line has been set up, the AFR was submitted and accepted, and the Zetron update was completed. They are trying to get a grant for GIS mapping for the remaining schools in the county and working with priority dispatch to get the protocol in place for 988 Mental Health.

The Logan County Multi-Jurisdictional All Hazards Mitigation Plan focuses on reducing the loss of life and property damage resulting from natural and man-made hazards. It identifies vulnerabilities and develops mitigation actions to lessen the effects of hazards, with emphasis on severe storms, winter storms, tornadoes and flooding. The plan also addresses man-made hazards, including hazardous substances, waste disposal, and terrorism, aiming to build a hazard-resistant community through effective planning and mitigation strategies.
