The board also recognized top performing lenders and loan officers for the 2026 veterans housing assistance loan program. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a presentation celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Veterans Land Board, highlighting the board's history of providing land, housing, and home improvement loans, as well as its involvement in veteran cemeteries and skilled nursing care facilities. The meeting concluded with testimonies from former board members and staff reflecting on the board's legacy.

The Board approved the winning bids for an online oil and gas lease sale, involving 11 leases for over 2,100 acres. A resolution was passed to authorize the commissioner to issue leases for coastal erosion planning and response projects, noting that these projects often require long-term construction and collaboration with various environmental partners. Additionally, the Board moved into closed session to discuss legal and property matters before reconvening to approve the disposition of approximately 7 acres in El Paso County.
The board will consider various pooling applications and production sharing agreements related to state leases and energy operations. The agenda includes discussions on highway rights-of-way, cabin applications, and commercial easements on coastal public lands. Furthermore, the board will deliberate on bids received for an oil and gas lease sale, a resolution concerning Coastal Erosion Planning and Response Act projects, and the disposition of land located in El Paso County.
