Fulton County Board of Education Board Meeting
The Board of Education met to address several key agenda items, including the recognition of outstanding students and staff, and the approval of the meeting agenda. Discussion and action items included the approval of an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Sandy Springs regarding space at Spalding Drive Elementary School, as well as several construction and renovation contracts for Conley Hills Elementary, Love T. Nolan Elementary, Crabapple Middle School, Derrick Road Elementary, and Esther Jackson Elementary. The Board also reviewed and acted upon policies related to non-discrimination, employee drug and alcohol testing, school admissions, tobacco products, and program evaluation. Furthermore, the board reviewed course proposals for biochemistry, International Baccalaureate Chinese, and digital media arts, and considered candidacy applications for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program at several elementary schools. Additionally, the board approved updates to the district's meeting schedule.
