Hempstead Public Schools Board of Education Regular Meeting Minutes
The Board discussed and approved numerous items including committee and staff appointments, union grievance settlements, and various partnership and service contracts for the school district. Financial actions included reviews of warrants, treasurer's reports, the 2027-2028 budget calendar, and the approval of capital improvement projects. Several donations were accepted to support student programs. The Board also addressed personnel matters, such as leaves of absence, resignations, club advisor appointments, and the appointment of translators and adult education staff. Additionally, the Board authorized special education and pupil personnel services, including tutoring and partnership programs with local universities.
