The expansion of the chart of accounts to include 3,000 extra accounts was reviewed, providing MART with a better understanding of its finances. The outlook for 2016 indicates a positive trend due to the HST 3% increase, lower fuel costs, and other adjustments. MART received extra funding from State Contract Assistance and is working on restructuring phone service to reduce costs. The committee also discussed the need for written financial policies and their adoption by the Advisory Board.
