The West Haven City Council meeting covered a range of topics, including discussions on partnering with the school for a recreation center. The council adopted resolution 26-2021 regarding electronic attendance and approved several items on the consent agenda. A presentation was given by the Weber County School District on their bond. The council also acted on Planning Commission recommendations, including ordinance 27-2021 to rezone property, re-final site plan approval for the West Haven Business Park aesthetics, preliminary subdivision approvals, and ordinance 25-2021 on animal keeping. The bid for Prevedel Park Phase 1 was awarded to Rockhard. A public hearing was held regarding the proposed annexation, and ordinance 26-2021 was adopted, annexing property. The council entered an executive session for a strategy session. Upcoming events were discussed, and resolution 25-2021 regarding attorney services was adopted. The council discussed repealing outdated ordinances and reviewed council assignments. Council updates included recommendations for a shuttle service and ribbons for mutton bustin riders.

The Planning Commission convened to discuss several agenda items. The commission discussed a conditional use for a non-commercial bakery, granting approval contingent upon adherence to application terms, USDA and Health Department requirements, and noise and nuisance ordinances. Final site plan approval was given to Save More Products, with considerations for landscaping and fencing. The commission also granted final subdivision approval to Meadow Green Estates Phase 4. Preliminary subdivision approval was granted to KAL Subdivision, pending Fire Marshal approval. Additionally, a conditional use for used auto sales was approved for Gustavo Sandoval, with stipulations regarding parking, operating hours, and compliance with nuisance and noise ordinances.

The meeting included discussions and actions on a preliminary site plan approval for a gas station/convenience store, and a preliminary site plan for a carwash. Also discussed was a preliminary and final plat for a commercial subdivision, and a conditional use permit for a commercial daycare. Updates to the West Haven City Subdivision Ordinance were also on the agenda, but were tabled for review at the next meeting.

The commission discussed and took action on several agenda items, including final subdivision approval for Pheasant Run Subdivision, final site plan approval for a project on Commerce Way, and preliminary subdivision approval for Stock Subdivision. A public hearing was held and action taken on a rezone request. Additionally, a public hearing and subsequent action addressed a conditional use permit for truck retail parts and service. The commission also granted final subdivision approval for Riverbend Phase 7. Other business included discussions on standards for private roads and potential amendments to zoning regulations.

The West Haven Special Service District meeting included updates on the 2700 W Lift Station Project and the 5100 W Manhole Rehab Project. An update on the UV Light system was provided, along with a report on the project along 1900 W. The board awarded a contract for the 4700 W Generator Installation to Lynn Woodward Electric, LLC. The consent agenda was approved, encompassing billing adjustments, monthly accounts payable, surplus water from Roy City Corporation, a purchase from Young Chevrolet, and fees from West Haven City and Central Weber.
