The Board reviewed and certified nomination papers and voted to hold a primary election for the Town Council. They also voted to dispense with a primary election for the Town School Committee and for uncontested offices. Additionally, the Board conducted a ballot placement lottery for the Town Council and School Committee elections. Other business included the certification of mail ballot applications, approval of the list of poll workers for upcoming elections, and discussion on poll worker training, a local bond question, updated term expiration dates, and the Statewide Board of Canvassers Group.

The council addressed several community concerns, primarily focusing on emergency preparedness and school safety measures in light of recent school shootings.
