Elementary and secondary level data were presented, including trends in student responses and areas for further exploration.

The special board study session included discussion and reports on board progress monitoring, specifically focusing on belonging panorama data, attendance goals, discipline goals, and tailored learning options.

The regular board meeting included a superintendent's report and special recognitions for employee excellence. The board discussed communications and public comments, and approved instructional materials for the 2025-2026 school year. An out-of-state travel request for Cactus Jam in Phoenix, Arizona, was approved. The board also approved a client services agreement with Sunrise Residential Treatment Center for one VPS student for the 2025-26 school year, an apportionment advance request resolution, and payment of bills. A first reading to adopt revised policy 3241, Student Discipline, was waived and moved to the next board meeting. The board conducted a second reading and adopted revised policy 1400, Meeting Conduct, Order of Business and Quorum.

The board meeting included a performance of the national anthem by Thomas Jefferson Middle School's band. The superintendent's report was replaced by employee excellence awards. The public comments section addressed concerns about finances, communication, the approval of a new union contract, issues in the transportation department, and the use of clear backpacks for safety. Bus drivers' statements regarding rebidding processes and cell phone use were also presented.

The meeting included discussions regarding the renewal of a contract with Sunrise Residential Treatment Center, a request for an advance on the district's apportionment due to the state's payment structure, updates to procedures and policies including the student discipline policy and meeting conduct, and a recommendation for out-of-state travel for the Columbia River girls basketball team to participate in the Cactus Jam Basketball Tournament in Phoenix.
