The Council discussed and approved several items, including designating May as Mental Health Awareness Month and authorizing a license agreement for a disc golf course and an application for transit grant funding. The Council convened as the Liquor Licensing Authority to approve a special event permit for Telluride Food & Vine. The council conducted an executive session to receive legal advice regarding pending litigation and an investigation into a former mayor's resignation. Appointments were made to the Building Board of Appeals, the Mountain Village Plaza Vending Community, and the Design Review Board. The council reviewed forestry projects, discussed a padel court development application, and approved amendments to the Community Development Code related to wildfire resilience. Furthermore, the council held first readings for ordinances concerning lighting regulations and municipal code amendments, while approving ordinances regarding massage facility background checks and penalty adjustments. Finally, the council passed an emergency ordinance authorizing water usage restrictions during droughts or emergencies.
