Hackettstown Common Council Meeting
The Council conducted a public hearing and adopted an ordinance to establish new parking spaces on Church Street for library use. Additionally, several ordinances were introduced regarding capital improvement funding for Liberty Street and staff salary adjustments. Various resolutions were passed, including tax refunds for a totally disabled veteran and an apartment complex, the appointment of a new Landlord Registration Clerk, the reappointment of temporary financial officers, and the submission of a strategic plan for a municipal alliance grant. The Council also addressed payroll error corrections and committed to adopting future housing ordinances and resolutions to fulfill court-mandated affordable housing obligations. Finally, approvals were granted for the purchase of playground equipment, a community block party, membership for a local hose company, a raffle license, a temporary ABC permit, various special event licenses, and the payment of check registers.
