St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators Full Board Meeting
The Board of Legislators addressed several key topics including the proclamation of various awareness weeks and months, such as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, Fair Housing Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, National Stress Awareness Month, Earth Day, National County Government Month, and National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Board recognized the 130th anniversary of the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter. Additionally, resolutions were passed to urge adequate state funding for the Child Care Assistance Program, authorize contract services for pharmacy benefit management, waive civil service exam fees, and approve various budget modifications for Community Services and Public Health. The Board also entered into a settlement agreement regarding the ongoing opioid crisis litigation.
