The Council conducted a public hearing regarding the rezoning of property on Broad River Road from general commercial to general commercial with conditions. Additionally, the commission discussed several amendments to the Zoning Ordinance regarding conditional uses, architectural standards, signage, vehicle parking, and noise regulations, ultimately recommending approval for a set of these changes including a new prohibition on Sunday construction work. Other discussions, specifically regarding permanent conservation easements and certain residential parking restrictions, were tabled for future consideration.

The committee discussed planning for the 2025 Christmas Parade, including potential rules and partnerships, and provided an update on the Chili Cook-off event. An after-action review of the 2024 Trunk or Treat event identified improvements for future years. The committee voted to recommend a $25,000 Boardr Skating Event to the Town Council, noting sponsorship efforts and logistics. Additionally, the committee explored the concept of a 2025 holiday vendor market and received a presentation regarding an upcoming Spring concert series, including proposed dates and musical acts.

The Planning Commission meeting addressed several key business items, including the postponement of officer elections. The Commission held public hearings and granted approval for the annexation and rezoning of approximately 11.92 acres located at 10057 Broad River Road, as well as an amendment to the zoning ordinance concerning the parking, storage, and use of vehicles and equipment in residential zones. Additionally, the commission reviewed and approved a site plan for flag lots located at 10534 Broad River Road.
