The Salary Commission discussed and finalized recommendations for 2023 salaries for the Mayor and City Council. The agenda and accompanying staff reports for the meeting focus on the certification of eligibility lists for both Entry Level-Advanced Police Officers and Lateral Police Officers. Additionally, the commission is scheduled to receive an update regarding staffing and recruiting efforts.

The commission discussed various community engagement and support initiatives, including scheduling an Adopt a Highway event and rebranding the Coffee Klatch initiative. Updates were provided regarding the organization's newsletter, the Partner Network, and progress on the War Memorial project. New business focused on outreach strategies, such as mailing postcards to local veterans.

The Commission certified the Police Records Supervisor Eligibility List. Additionally, the Police Chief provided updates regarding the upcoming start date of the Deputy Police Chief, discussed the recent utilization of drone technology in police operations, and noted a future vacancy for the Police Commander position.
