Columbia County Board Of Supervisors Proceedings
The Board recognized winners of the County Directory Artwork Contest, honored a retiring social worker, and heard an overview of the County Veterans Service Office. The Board also received a presentation on the Columbia Wind Project and discussed a potential moratorium on wind projects. Several rezoning petitions were accepted, and various appointments were made to the South Central Library Systems Board, Board of Adjustment, and Local Emergency Planning Committee. Additionally, the Board authorized acceptance of a grant for railroad bridge repairs, approved an overlap for the transition of the Solid Waste Director position, and revised policies regarding disciplinary suspensions. Finally, the Board enacted multiple zoning ordinances and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.
