The board conducted a special meeting which included a waiver of notice and adoption of the agenda. The board held executive sessions to consult with their attorney regarding privileged legal matters. Following the executive sessions, the board voted against signing a decree.

The Board of Education meeting included the presentation of District Attitude Awards to the nursing staff and a review of nonresident student capacity and legislative updates. Presentations were given regarding summer learning programs, the KESA accreditation plan, and proposed student handbooks. The consent agenda included the approval of personnel changes, various gifts and grants, the GEF quarterly report, LEA/IDEA assurances, and a foundation employee loaning agreement. Additionally, the board approved financial matters such as bills and transfers, a tech refresh financing bid, carpet replacement bids, and a day school contract amendment.

The board participated in a work session featuring a presentation by the Discovery Works Collaborative regarding the findings of the post-election bond survey from the May 2025 bond election.

The Board of Education meeting included reports from the Superintendent and updates on construction projects and bond resolutions. The board reviewed a consent agenda encompassing contracts, personnel changes, transportation software, superintendent goals, curriculum proposals, easements, and surplus items. Additionally, the board processed monthly business, including the approval of bills and transfers, and convened an executive session.

The consent agenda covered personnel actions, employment contracts, the GEF quarterly report, acceptance of gifts and grants, organizational resolutions, KPERS 457 plan matters, website and course updates, and an audit report. Additionally, the Board addressed the monthly business report including bills, transfers, and capital outlay updates, and conducted an executive session.
