The Strategic Plan for the Contra Costa Water District aims to strategically provide a reliable supply of high-quality water at the lowest possible cost, while operating in an environmentally responsible manner. The plan is founded on three core pillars: workforce, water supply, and infrastructure. It outlines eight main goals: promoting workplace safety and health, managing water resources for sustainability and quality, delivering superior customer service, protecting customer financial interests, investing in assets and technology for reliable service, pursuing organizational excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering partnerships, and practicing environmental stewardship. This plan details actionable items and 25 new strategic initiatives with 153 milestones to build a resilient future and meet community needs.
