The Brewster Middle School's School Improvement Plan is structured around four core components: Comprehensive Needs Assessment, Schoolwide Reform Strategies, Activities for Mastery, and Coordination and Integration. It emphasizes data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and active stakeholder participation. The plan focuses on enhancing academic performance through rigorous, standards-aligned instruction, personalized learning, and standard-based grading. It also prioritizes fostering student and staff wellness, strengthening parent and community engagement, and ensuring effective resource allocation and professional development. The overarching goal is to improve student learning outcomes, promote a positive school culture, and ensure all students meet state standards.

The board workshop included a call to order, additions and deletions to the agenda, a review of scholarships, and a planned executive session. The meeting also touched on the district's core beliefs, emphasizing students as the top priority, the importance of relationships, equitable learning opportunities, home and school partnerships, engaging instruction, service culture, and alignment of fiscal resources with the district's strategic plan.

The vision emphasizes students mastering academic skills and developing civic responsibility through family, school, and community support. The Targeting Student Learning program is designed to ensure that all students have opportunities to become responsible and respectful global citizens. The program focuses on providing students with academic and technical skills essential to read with comprehension, apply core concepts, think analytically, and understand the importance of work. It involves the development, implementation, and annual review of district policies related to governance, academic standards, education programs, instructional materials, instruction, learning environment, professional standards, and parent/community engagement.
