The council adopted Resolution No. 20-403, which formally designates the property identified as Block 2154, Lot 12.01 as a Non-Condemnation Redevelopment Area under the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. This resolution authorizes the Planning Board to prepare a redevelopment plan for the designated area, following a preliminary investigation and a prior public hearing.

The Council adopted a resolution to provide consent for the appointment of Michael Gerstnicker to the position of Alternate No. 1 for the Hamilton Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, serving a term that concludes on December 31, 2019.

The Council discussed and approved several resolutions including the lease of township property, the execution of various grant applications and agreements for transportation and community development, seat belt mobilization, and police equipment licenses. Contractual services for tub grinding, police firearm trade-ins, crane inspections, grass cutting, and capital road projects were established. Additionally, the Council addressed multiple ordinance amendments concerning swimming pools, animal regulations, vending machine fees, and housing standards. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the CY2016 Municipal Budget, specifically regarding the utilization of surplus funds and a decision to amend the budget to decrease reliance on those funds while maintaining expenditures.

The Council administered the oath of office to a newly appointed councilmember and reviewed an amendment to an alcoholic beverage license application. Key resolutions were approved, covering the support for the New Jersey Statewide Water Supply Plan, various maintenance and repair contracts for township utilities and roads, and emergency budget appropriations for the 2017 fiscal year. The meeting also included discussions on ordinances related to handicapped parking regulations and the establishment of municipal budget appropriation limits. Additionally, the Council introduced and approved the Calendar Year 2017 Municipal Budget.

The council reviewed and approved various administrative and operational resolutions, including the commemoration of Black History Month, the appointment of an Assistant Public Defender, and the execution of agreements for Sustainable Jersey grants and small network node installations. Additionally, the council authorized contracts for roof replacements, change orders for capital paving projects, and real estate tax refunds. Several ordinances were addressed, including those related to vehicle parking regulations, property acquisition on Youngs Road, and handicapped parking space establishments. The meeting also included public comments concerning fire district consolidation and shared services agreements.
