The meeting included the adoption of the agenda, district reports including the Incident Report Summary and Fire Prevention Report for January. An update was provided on helicopter communication and the Jackson County Emergency Response Team, which received a grant for training. The Forts Lake Franklin Creek FD announced they were holding a Spring Extravaganza including a fish fry and Easter Egg Hunt. The next meeting was scheduled for April 21st, 2017.

The meeting included discussions on a Home Fire Safety Campaign by the American Red Cross, updates on Fire Rebate Funding, Rural Fire Truck Grants, and other legislation. The Incident Report and Fire Prevention Report for December were reviewed. There were also updates on training, annual maintenance of equipment, and improvements with fire dispatch. The upcoming meeting was announced.
