City Council Regular Session
The meeting addressed the status of the ongoing FY2025 audit, which has faced delays due to previous staffing turnover and administrative reporting challenges. Discussions focused on the implications of a recent credit rating downgrade by Moody's and the proactive steps being taken to rectify the city's audit status, including the utilization of additional financial support. Council members questioned their financial advisors regarding their role in identifying these financial reporting issues earlier, and the council reviewed the projected timeline for completing the FY2025 and FY2026 audits to restore the city's financial credit profile.
