The City Council discussed and resolved to proceed with an election regarding an additional tax exceeding the ten-mill limitation. This decision follows a directive from the Ohio Secretary of State and involves replacing a previously passed resolution with a corrected version to comply with H.B. 496. The additional tax aims to provide and maintain fire equipment, buildings, water supplies, fire-alarm communications, and to cover the costs of firefighting personnel, ambulance services, and related expenses. The County Auditor certified the revenue that would be generated by the Levy and the estimated cost for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value.
