City of Fort Lupton 5-Year Plan 2026-2031
This document is a Housing Needs Assessment and 5-year plan for the City of Fort Lupton, aimed at advancing housing goals, expanding affordable options, and meeting state and regulatory requirements. Key findings highlight challenges including income stagnation, escalating rent burdens, a housing stock dominated by single-family homes, a growing senior population, and aging infrastructure. The plan proposes five core strategies: encouraging infill development and rehabilitation, seeking opportunities for multifamily market-rate rental housing, building partnerships for senior housing, updating development codes to promote housing diversity, and planning for emerging retail and employment-generating development. The overarching vision is to cultivate a healthy, inclusive, and economically resilient community with diverse, quality, and affordable housing options for all residents.
