The Senate convened for the Twelfth Extraordinary Session to address gubernatorial appointments requiring legislative consent. The Senate reviewed and confirmed several judicial appointments for the Third, Fourth, and Fifth District Courts. Additionally, the Senate confirmed appointments and reappointments to various state bodies, including the State Tax Commission, the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement, the Board of Economic Development, the Bridgerland Technical College Board of Trustees, the Child Care Provider Licensing Committee, the Health Data Committee, the Labor Commission Appeals Board, the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, and the Waste Management and Radiation Control Board. A citation was also presented to recognize an achievement in the Utah Women's State Amateur Golf Tournament.
