Key topics included the definitions of regulated rental units and occupants, the application process for permits via the Citizen Serve portal, and the requirements for maintaining specific documentation, such as inspection checklists and tenant information brochures. The presentation outlined the implementation timeline, the necessity of inspections every four years, and upcoming energy efficiency requirements beginning in 2026. Enforcement procedures for non-compliance with permitting requirements were also addressed.
