The board convened to publicly examine and equalize property assessments for tax purposes. During the proceedings, members were sworn in to perform their duties in a fair and impartial manner, and a Chairman of the Board was elected.

The Board of Equalization conducted hearings regarding property tax petitions. The board reviewed and made decisions on specific parcel values, including sustaining the value of a property for the Dahl Family Cabin LLC and another property for Martha Kellogg Smith and James Bowen.

The board convened a hearing to address Petition No: 2016-009 concerning a property tax parcel owned by David Vukelich and Margaret Laycock. The primary topic of the hearing was the review of the Assessor's decision regarding a Senior Citizen Exemption. The board officially sustained the Assessor's decision to not grant the requested exemption.

The Board of Equalization conducted a series of hearings to review individual property tax valuation petitions. During these proceedings, the Board examined various taxpayer parcels and formally decided to sustain the current valuation for each petition presented.

Additionally, the committee received updates from the Puget Sound Partnership regarding indicator data and discussed member project updates concerning water line recovery and community engagement on tribal lands.
