This Housing Element and Fair Share Plan outlines the Borough of Wood-Ridge's strategy to meet its constitutional obligation for providing a fair share of regional affordable housing. The plan addresses present and prospective affordable housing needs through mechanisms such as rehabilitation programs, leveraging existing affordable housing credits, and implementing inclusionary zoning requirements. The overarching goal is to ensure realistic housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income families, promote multigenerational housing continuity, and maintain consistency with the State Development and Redevelopment Plan.
