Contracts for services at Woodchase Park were approved. A contract with Binkley and Barfield for engineering and telecom services for Wilcrest Park site was approved. A contract with Asakura Robinson for Landscape Architectural design services for winter freeze damage to Wilcrest Esplanades was approved. The annual insurance contract with TML was approved. The board approved to hold a Public Hearing on October 21, 2021. Directors were appointed as hearing examiners.
The Harris County Commissioners Court approved Westchase District projects, including the reconstruction of a segment of Meow Glen to improve drainage, safety, and mobility, and the West Chase Promenade to create a walkable corridor. These projects represent a significant investment leveraging funds from Precinct 4, with a focus on partnership projects to maximize impact. The court will announce the 2024 places for people winners in the next two weeks.
The council acknowledged Jim Murphy and Irma Sanchez from the West Chase Management District after passing item 38 on the consent agenda, which is related to a 380 agreement. The board also approved a revised Broker Dealer list for the District, the resignation of Nancy Bailey from the Board of Directors of the Westchase District Community Fund, the fundraising agreement with Westchase District Community Fund for Parks Programming and Event Sponsorships, the revised Wilcrest Park Design changes, a funding request with FTA for as much as $6 Million, task order #1 with EHRA for On-Call services for Meadowglen, and a contract with BQR Advertising.
