The City Council and Committee of the Whole discussed various administrative and community projects. Topics included an update on Waste Commission services and computer refurbishment, a performance update on The Landing recreation facility, and the approval of contracts for the Central Avenue Resurfacing project, a five-year video management services agreement for the Police Department, and various site development plans. Public hearings were held regarding State Transit Assistance funds, trail and street resurfacing programs, the East Ridge Drive Reconstruction project, and a lease agreement for Dekhockey at Crow Creek Park. Additionally, the council amended the city code to align with state law and approved resolutions for various operational and maintenance contracts, equipment purchases, job descriptions, and licensing for local businesses.

The meetings covered several key topics including a presentation on the Clean River Advisory Council community survey and an update on the local trail committee. The Council received the investment report and discussed a zoning amendment for property located east of 4880 Silver Spur Road. Public hearings were held regarding the adoption of the FY2026/27 budget and the certification of taxes. Additionally, the Council addressed various consent agenda items, such as the approval of street resurfacing and patching programs, purchase orders for city vehicles and intersection software, police department service agreements for drone and license plate reader technology, and various annual licenses and permits. Updates were also provided regarding storm sirens, city staff performance review processes, and emergency response efforts.

The board discussed the renewal of board members' terms ending in mid-2026. A presentation was provided regarding an update on The Landing Ice Rink's recent season performance and future projections. The board reviewed potential locations for a proposed cricket pitch and expressed support for exploring Hollowview Park, contingent upon public feedback. Additionally, updates were provided on various capital improvement projects, including playground replacements at Friendship, Edgewood, and Lincoln Parks, the installation of a futsal overlay at Kiwanis Park, and the approval for a new pump track and bike path at Middle Park.

The Board reviewed its internal procedures and held a public hearing regarding a variance request for a property at 3219 Centennial Court. The request sought to reduce the required front yard setback from 25 feet to 10 feet to accommodate a new driveway, which was subsequently approved by the Board.

The first case involved a rezoning request for a property east of 4880 Silver Spur Road, moving it from an Agricultural/Urban Reserve District to a Rural Residence District, with discussion concerning floodplain designations and private land use agreements. The second case involved the approval of a site development plan for 6914-6970 Faiths Way.
