The 2021 Strategic Plan Update for the Clarksville Transit System (CTS) aims to improve and expand transit services, aligning with its mission of providing maximum mobility, safety, quality, and efficiency for the community. The plan outlines strategic options across three main pillars: Administration, Capital, and Operations. Key focus areas include optimizing staffing and financial resources, upgrading facilities, vehicles, and passenger amenities, leveraging technology, and enhancing outreach, engagement, and service planning. The update seeks to guide planning efforts and investments, strategizing realistic improvements for the Clarksville area with implementation targeted within a five-year timeline.

The City Council meeting included special recognitions for Geno Grubbs, a former police officer and city council member, and a proclamation for World Orphans Day, with Cheryl Pickett, the president of the World Orphans Day organization, speaking about the initiative. The council also recognized interns from Safe, an organization providing counseling for armed forces and emergency services, and honored Angel Goicky from Clarksville Gas and Water as the t-a-u-d professional woman of the year.
