BoardBoard of Trustees Meeting
The meeting included a welcome to attendees and recognition of the Duke Endowment staff and trustees for their long-standing support. A major grant from the Duke Endowment to Johnson C Smith was announced, totaling $35 million. The grant is allocated to refurbish a residence hall, provide scholarship support for international students and those in science, technology, visual and performing arts, and social work, and to build a major Science Center. A check for $5 million was presented to initiate the process.
