The Board of Trustees held a study session to review the 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Plan presentation.

The Board of Trustees conducted several presentations, including recognition for a Battalion Chief, a report from the Northville Art House, and an audit presentation by Plante Moran. New business approvals included the Tesoro Property Group LLC purchase agreement, renewals for IT systems (Cisco phone system and NeoGov), police motorcycle disposal, an MOU for a new clinician, a fire training trailer purchase, a GLWA contract amendment, and engineering for the Haggerty sanitary lift station. Additionally, the board approved an introduction for a Non-Emergency Medical Response Ordinance and the check registry.

The commission reviewed several strategic initiatives including a new marketing and communications plan, potential reconstruction and improvement of the Fish Hatchery tennis courts, and updates on the new headquarters project, which includes plans for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Discussions also covered the extension of the Hillside facility contract, various city park development projects such as playground replacements and trail expansions, and department operational reports covering summer programming, capital projects, and senior services. Additionally, the commission explored future possibilities regarding a fieldhouse partnership, lease arrangements, and long-term funding considerations in light of community growth.

The board meeting includes the consideration of several departmental reports and resolutions, such as the Northville Youth Network report, the Parks and Rec annual report, and recognition of anniversaries for the Northville Garden Club and community members. Agenda items cover various administrative and service-related tasks, including public safety requests, fireworks display approvals, and waste assignment contracts. Additionally, the board will address new business including a property purchase agreement, technology system renewals, equipment disposal, fire training equipment procurement, and infrastructure projects like the sanitary lift station re-construction and pathway maintenance. The board will also introduce a non-emergency medical response ordinance and review the check registry for recent expenditures.

The Commission discussed several departmental and program reports. Key topics included tax preparation and program sponsorship increases, transportation ridership trends and maintenance challenges, and the success of various community events like luncheons, blood drives, and lecture series. Reports were also provided regarding city and township construction projects, school board strategic planning, and the relocation of the Parks and Recreation division to a new facility.
