The Council discussed public transit consultations and received information regarding fiber optic infrastructure deployment in the community. Significant time was dedicated to reviewing the town's insurance appraisals, specifically discussing replacement values for buildings and equipment, deductible amounts, and insurance strategy. Council reviewed and passed a motion to give first reading to a zoning bylaw regarding security deposits for development, billboard and sign corridor regulations, and height restrictions in residential zoning districts. Additionally, the Council held a nomination and election process for the position of Deputy Mayor.
